Modified Rugby Program (MRP) Showcase at Suncorp Stadium – Friday 3rd May

We were thrilled to take to the field of Suncorp Stadium once again this year at the Reds V Sunwolves fixture last Friday night! Over 150 people from the MRP community gathered at the stadium to enjoy the game and the MRP showcase. We are so grateful each year to be given this wonderful opportunity by Queensland Rugby Union (QRU), whose players are so generous with their time and energy. Thank you to everyone from the QRU who made the experience so enjoyable for all our kids.

Our talented MRP Players, PlayerMentors and Coaches showcased their skills at half time, and we were lucky enough to run two exhibition matches – one of our MRP division and one of our MRP 7s - on the field during the half time break. We are so proud of our teams for their impressive display!

Our MRP Players were so excited to get involved in the evening, forming the tunnel to run on the Reds and the Sunwolves. They also handed out the post-match water bottles to the Reds Players. This was such a fantastic opportunity for the teams to further their skills and feel the power of inclusion in sport. Great job to Anthony Elliott, our GingerCloud Foundation Co-Founder, for your half time interview on sharing the power of inclusion through sport.

A special thanks to Jason Starr from Darcy Starr Photography for the amazing photographs. Jason always captures the emotion of the moment so poignantly.

A big thank you to the St. George Qld Reds for making this money-can’t-buy opportunity possible for our MRP family. We cannot express what a wonderful experience it was for all of our players. Go Reds!
