I miss my tribe!

For the last three years, I've struggled with the same question - Why do I feel so profoundly sad when we finish our last MRP game for the season?

Whilst it's been a cracker year again, I find myself in a low that's hard to crawl out of.

Whilst I miss the buzz of the early Saturday morning start, the fieldside coffee conversations and being around our extraordinary MRP Players and PlayerMentors, I know it's more than that.

I haven't been able to express it clearly until Kate Smith, our supporter, our friend and MRP champion sent me this wonderful blog about tribes. http://thekateproject.com.au/the-people-who-build-a-tribe/

After reading Kate's wonderful piece, I realized I was missing our tribe- our community, the place where we belong and the home of our people.

I realized that you, the MRP Community, are our tribe.

You are our connection to a world I still find brutal for our children on my worst days and so filled with hope on my best days.

You keep me strong, you inspire me and most of all you never judge.

As our whole family's tribe, you trust us with your children every week and this humbles us more than you could imagine.

Your journey is our journey and we are so honored that you have invited us to walk beside you.

Whilst we may not see you every week again until 2018, I remind myself that our tribe is never far away - just a phone call, an email or a coffee.

This doesn't stop us missing you all though!

Thank you for being part of our lives and the MRP tribe.
